We often think of life as driving a car, where we’re in control, steering toward our chosen destinations. But life rarely follows such a predictable path.
In reality, life is more like surfing the waves. We aren’t in control of the waves that come our way; we can only decide how to respond. Sometimes we ride smoothly, and other times we wipe out, tasting the salty water. But every experience, whether exhilarating or challenging, is part of the journey.
